Message from the Executive Head Teacher

The early years in a child’s life are vital years when growth and development occur at a rapid pace. It is important therefore, for parents and staff to work together to do the best for every child.

At Bedford Nursery Schools Federation you will find there is always time to

•Talk •Think •Listen •Learn •Develop •Know •Be •Celebrate •Grow •Show •Play •Share

Please take some time to come and see for yourself

We aim to promote tolerance and understanding, celebrating the diverse beliefs, cultures and educational needs within the school.

Our Equality Statement:

"At Bedford Nursery Schools Federation all children and thier families are respected as individuals regardless of special need, disability, race, religion, gender reassignment or sexual orientation" Nov 2017

We offer nursery education and care for children from 2-5years. We are open from 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, during the school terms. We try to offer holiday clubs through all school holidays, except Christmas, for children registered with the federation, however this is dependent on demand and is not guaranteed.

We are closed for training days, home visits, bank holidays and two weeks at Christmas.

15 hours free nursery education places are available for children from the term after their third birthday. We offer a morning 9.00am- 12.00pm or afternoon 12.30pm -3.30pm place.

The 15 hours can be accessed flexibly by prior arrangement and subject to availability.

2 year old children who meet the criteria set down are entitled to 15 hours free education and care.

Research indicates that this type of early childhood education and care has the best outcomes for children.

We offer a play based curriculum, following the Early Years Foundation Stage. Children can move freely between the indoors and outdoors for most of the session, allowing children time and space to follow their own interests supported and developed by adults as is appropriate.

We have a Settling In Policy to help children and parents get the best possible start at the nursery.
