‘Creating firm foundations for phonics’
A practical session looking at ways to support children by laying the foundation for learning phonics.
Developing skills in:
¨ Phonological awareness
¨ Tuning into sounds
¨ Understanding rhythm and rhyme
The session will develop a deep understanding of these prerequisites and look at ways to expand your current literacy practice and routines.
Practitioners will be able to share their knowledge and examples of best practice to create a resource bank to support all.
